Eating in at the Meadow House

Eating in at the Meadow House

Since we are all about providing you with a relaxing time and a great experience, we are giving you the choice of either supplying you with all the ingredients and recipes for you to cook complete meals, or bringing your own food supplies. There will always be staples for you to use, no matter what you decide. But you will have to bring your own drinks.

So for an extra $256, we will provide all the ingredients and recipes for you to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner for four people for two days or $128 for two people for two days. That’s less than $11 per meal per person (for extra days add an extra $64 per two people per day). That means you won’t have to bring anything except drinks. You will get a choice of recipes and absolutely everything you need for three scrumptious meals a day. Including a box of vegetables in season and your choice of meats for dinner.

See, we even do the planning for you. All the more time for you to do nothing. We made sure that our recipes are all quick and easy and we’ve tested every one ourselves. Don’t worry if you’re not a great cook, the instructions are all easy to follow and the ingredients are simple and fresh. Your fridge will be stocked with enough ingredients to make three meals a day from the recipes included. If you wish, you can modify the recipes just as long you use the ingredients provided.

For a simple, delicious breakfast try any one of these recipes. Or do your own recipe. Or if you really can’t be bothered, there’s always cereal. Try the Illy percolated coffee. A bit out of fashion these days, but I think that this makes a great cup of coffee. One spoon per cup and one for the pot just like tea. For a decadent breakfast, add a glass of champagne. Or a dry unoaked white. Go on, we won’t tell.

Lunch can be out on one of our verandas, a picnic on the property or eat inside. It’s up to you. Personally, if the weather’s fine, I recommend the east veranda for an early lunch. If you want to picnic, we can suggest some locations. In the best European tradition, we recommend a glass of wine or beer with your meals and we make some suggestions with each recipe.

The dinner menus are a little more substantial but just as simple and easy to make. Barbecue on the kitchen veranda and enjoy the sunset into the long summer evening. Or set the table inside with all the silver service and pomp that a good meal deserves.
